How to apply?
Three Post-Doc positions are available in Nantes in the Pitard laboratory.
1-RNA-Therapeutic in vivo Efficiency (18-months, start date: 1st June)
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Design and conduct in vivo experiments in multiple species via collaborative partnerships to evaluate novel mRNA designs and supramolecular formulations
- Select and design mRNA-encoded antibodies to support high in vivo therapeutic antibody secretion
- Lead multistep experimental designs including planning and execution to assess safety and mRNA expression after in vivo injection
- Perform cell based neutralizing antibody assay, innate/adaptive immune profiling and pharmacodynamics assays using technologies such as ELISA, MSD
- Investigate structural and biochemical modifications that enhance mRNA expression while reducing immune processing of mRNA.
- Prepare figures and authors manuscripts for submission to high-impact journals
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.D in Cell Biology, Immunology, nucleic acids-based vaccines or therapy or related field with 2-4 years of experience, demonstrated by a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications and project achievements
- Certification in animal experimentation-Project designer
- Previous experience with small animal models relevant to RNA delivery
- Experience with single and multiplex assays including MSD platform
2-RNA-Synthetic delivery systems (18-months, start date: 1st June)
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Lead medicinal chemistry efforts aimed at optimizing a new class of synthetic delivery systems for RNA therapeutics
- Identify and develop suitable analytical methods for characterization and validation
- Oversee chemistry synthesis activities at CRO/CDMO partners, including approval of protocols and reports
- Collaborate with the team to evaluate and optimize the efficiency and safety of our RNA delivery technologies
- Prepare technical updates for reporting to funding agencies
- Prepare figures and authors manuscripts for submission to high-impact journals
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D in chemistry with 2-4 years of experience, demonstrated by a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications and project achievements
- Experience in polymer chemistry is preferred; experience in lipid and nucleotide is a plusimentation-Project designer
- Strong synthetic chemistry expertise and proficiency in analytical techniquesng track record of peer-reviewed publications and project achievements
3-RNA-Directed antibody in vitro design (12-months, start date: 1st June)
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Lead mRNA element engineering efforts to optimize novel mRNA structure designs for RNA therapeutics achieving unprecedented levels of expression and stability
- Design and execute all-based assays in human and rodent cell lines to characterize the efficacy and safety of novel RNA therapeutic leads.
- Develop cell based neutralizing antibody assays against various viral targets
- Design RNA formulation using adjunct regulatory elements to modulate antibody secretion
- Investigate mechanism of action of lead candidates and establish biologically relevant endpoints for mRNA antibody selection and infectious disease applications
- Prepare figures and authors manuscripts for submission to high-impact journals
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Cell Biology or related field with 2-4 years of experience, demonstrated by a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications and project achievements
- Extensive experience in in vitro cell culture, as well as cellular based assays and analysis techniques (eg flow cytometry, confocal microcopy imaging, PCR, ELISA, western blotting, sequencing…)
